Folk singer, song writer, record producer, broadcaster, festival co-ordinator, lecturer, instrumental teacher and session musician are just some of the hats that Bob Buckle has worn in his long and varied career. However, first and foremost he is an entertainer with a respected reputation within the world of folk music.
Bob has been in entertainment for the last 38 years and is regarded by many as one of the finest exponents of the 5 string banjo. With his light tenor voice, subtle humour and his relaxed stage approach BOB has entertained audiences throughout Britain and Europe.
These days Bob is in great demand for visits to primary schools all over the country. He loves to bring folk music to young children and visits around 150 schools each year in addition to his other entertainment activities.
Bob owns and runs a 24 track recording studio producing albums for himself and other artists. He has produced work for other media outlets including the BBC and Independent Radio and has his own recording label Bob Buckle Sound.
Bob’s main hobbies are American western history, playing golf, cooking..and of course, folk music and banjos!
